[Bioperl-l] Pushing towards 1.2

So it seems we kind of know what the risks are from not merging. 
What are the risks from doing the merge (for release only or for 
good) though? Too-many-args errors during build time I remember, but 
I believe that has been solved? If not, it's a show-stopper, unless 
we prominently document work-arounds. The build time would be 
prolonged quite significantly (since it like doubles the # of 
modules, right?), which will mostly annoy the developers only. For 
this reason I'm actually not particularly excited about merging them 
back into the bioperl-live repository.
