Message-ID: Greeings. I'm Jaime Pe?a, an 5th year Biotechnology Civile Engineering 's student at the Universidad de Chile. I'm at the moment taking my practise no. 1 and I want to learn more about bioinformatics because I need to create a website with a search engine of transposases. I've been programing in Java since 2002, and I've some courses ok Programming, SQL and Algorithm and Structure Data. But nothing of Perl, and a little (very little) bit of UNIX. So, I need an advice. What is better for me? Learning BioPerl, or start inmediatly with BioJava without taking too much time in Perl? Thank you very much. I'll be exploring your site during these days. See you later. I'll be waiting your answer. Jaime Pe?a.

Jaime.

The files would need to be released under the LGPL license. Ideally they would also have javadocs, package.inf and JUnit tests. Examples of the use of the classes would also be good.
